From rigorous specialist training to a whole-child philosophy.
I'm a paediatric pulmonologist and super-specialist, working at the intersection of evidence-based medicine and integrative care. It's a space that's still rare in South Africa.
With rigorous training spanning Wits, Stellenbosch, Scotland, and London's Royal Brompton Hospital, and a research background in HIV, TB, RSV, and vaccines through the Desmond Tutu TB Centre and FAMCRU, I built deep scientific foundations before expanding my lens.
Rather than staying inside the hospital system forever, I began to explore how health actually emerges, pursuing a full two-year fellowship in integrative paediatric medicine, one of only two such programmes in the world and the first in South Africa.
What started as clinical excellence evolved into something larger:

A Practice With Personality
Known to my patients as the LEGO Doctor.
Step into my rooms and you'll spot an ever-growing botanical LEGO collection: orchids, lucky bamboo, wildflowers, and a few surprises.
What started as a hobby has become part of the practice. Children hunt for the newest build while we talk, parents relax, and a consultation stops feeling clinical. It's a small thing, but small things matter when you're four years old and someone wants to listen to your chest.
